01 — The Brief
Why observation before pitching
A campaign pitched on day one is a guess. Before suggesting anything, I read the brand the way an outsider would: what it repeats, what it withholds, what it sounds like, and what a person walks away associating it with. The deck is structured as observation first, interpretation second, suggestion last.
02 — Key Observation
It is building a feeling, not a product line
Seun'dele isn't just trying to create products; it's trying to create a feeling. The playlist becomes another storytelling medium — the sound sits beside the textile as part of the same narrative, which means the brand is already asking to be experienced rather than browsed.
03 — The Insight
Emotion before information
Every campaign should evoke an emotion before it communicates a product. If the visuals don't feel like the music, the story isn't complete. For a zero-waste brand this matters twice over: sustainability told as information reads as a disclaimer, while sustainability told as feeling reads as a value the buyer takes on.
04 — What This Means For Content
How I would write it
- Lead with the maker's hand and the material's history, not the price or the process
- Let the playlist, the captions and the imagery share one register
- Treat each drop as a chapter, so the archive builds meaning over time
- Say less about waste and more about worth
05 — What I Learnt
Luxury is intentionality
Luxury isn't communicated through price. It's communicated through intentionality — the decisions a brand is willing to make and repeat, especially the ones nobody asked it to make.
